Our Review of the Lafuma Maxi Pop'Up butterfly chair
The Lafuma Maxi Pop 'Up is a unique, light, and comfy butterfly chair that can be used in a wide variety of situations ranging from sitting on the sidelines of a sporting event , in the backyard, or out on a camping trip.
The Maxi Pop 'Up is a collapsible Lafuma chair made for comfort and convenience. It folds into a tight umbrella-like package, and includes a carrying strap meant for ease of transport. The Maxi comes in attractive colors on quality fabrics that look good indoors as well as out – so it's perfect for a dorm room.
Custom Embroidery is now available for the following Maxi Pop'Up colors:

General Cleaning and Care Instructions:
For all of the Lafuma Chairs and Recliner, simply rinse with soapy water or a mild laundry detergent. Scrub gently. A soft brush can also be used. Rinse thoroughly and sun dry. Repeat these steps as necessary.
Airlon Notes:
Airlon stands up very well to dry or wet rubbing which makes cleaning very easy to get rid of stains or dust.

I have owned 2 of these chairs for some time and am just replacing the fabric. The chairs have been, and are envied, everywhere.

Stylish camping

A great quality chair - it's wonderful to see something made in France, rather than China. Very comfortable, easy to handle. I purchased the chairs for front yard seating around a large pond. The retro look is good, as is the trendy color. Very light-weight, but obviously sturdy, would be super for camping too as it folds down to about 4' diameter. I didn't want to be hauling lawn furniture all over the yard and storing more bulky items in the garage - they work for me.

Excellent Quality

This is a great chair in comparison to US design/mfg versions. The colorway makes it special and the variations on materials. It is a bit heavy and there is no carry strap or bag (can't Laufma design a bag carrier for this chair?). In all, excellent quality and look for the price.

Excellent value for money

Excellent quality, design and value for money: the chair is stronger than it looks, it is truly comfortable and will never go out of style! It can be carried easily (by hand) to the beach, the park or it simply looks nice in your garden or patio. It folds easily taking minimum space so it becomes easy to keep it inside, protected from the rain and for storage during winter. The orange color is simply pure fun for the summer.

Need two to avoid divorce

When my wife and I bought our first Pop-Up Butterfly Chair, the guy at the camping store warned us: "You better buy 2 if you want to avoid divorce." We didn't take his advice, and we only bought 1. Well, needless to say, we always fought over who gets this chair when we go camping. We bought a second.

i have had the chair for atleast 10 years and just ordered replacement covers. We use the chairs year round in doors( in front of the fire with your back to it. ) and out doors. It is the most used piece or furniture!!!! took them to the mountians today. Thanks for a quality product.

Lafuma pop up chairs

I have two pop up chairs for 5 years. I weigh 230 lbs. and the chairs, dispite the light weight, have held up. I even took them down the grand canyon. The sand did not effect the joints as on other chairs and they set up on uneven surfaces very well. I have been caught sleeping in the chair many times.

maxi pop'up is fantastic

We have taken these chairs to beaches,decks and mountains. We bother to fly with them to distant beaches. Unbeliveably long lasting, comfortable and sophisticated. Need cooler colors and a mesh version. Buy a pair.
