General Cleaning and Care Instructions:
For all of the Lafuma Recliners and Chairs, simply rinse with soapy water or a mild laundry detergent.  Scrub gently.  A soft brush can also be used.  Rinse thoroughly and sun dry.  Repeat these steps as necessary.

Batyline (Mesh) Notes:
Batyline should be cleaned regularly.  Due to the fabric?s mesh weave, the drying process is quick.

Padded Fabric Notes:
If the padded fabric gets extremely wet, let it sun dry until all of the water is gone.  Due to the padding, water can get trapped in the fabric.  Make sure to keep these chairs out of the rain whenever possible.

Headrest straps

Reviewer: James S. Baker , Aptos, Calif Date: August 15, 2007
Chair is great but headrest strap is very poor quality as per comments by other reviewers. I read the company response that 2007 headrests will be better. How about some suggestions on making the older ones workable??

Great Loungers - poor elastic

3
Reviewer: Anonymous , Franklin, Ma Date: August 04, 2007
I have owned six Lafuma loungers and several knock offs over the past 10 years. The chairs are great but, as noted by everyone else, the elastic cords and headrest straps are absolutely awful. If you get a year or two out of them you are doing good. The knock offs have better headrests as they were smart enough to use velcro instead of elastic on the headrest straps. I find myself moving the headrests off the knockoffs to the Lafumas after the knockoffs die. I have found that if you use safety pins on the dead elastic on the headrest, that will keep it in place. You really need to do something about the elastic on this product. If something is not done in the next year or two when I am due a new one, I will be back to the knockoffs which appear to have got the message.

Headrest was received on time & matched our Recliner that was 10 years old. We also ordered Webbing & feet for Two Lafuma's that also matched perfectly. Thank you for the prompt service.

LaFuma Elastic

3
Reviewer: Anonymous , Santa Barbara, CA Date: October 15, 2006

LaFuma seems to have a definite problem with the elastic--the straps on the headrest and the bungee cords are definitely inferior and you're lucky to have them last even one season without breaking (bungee) or losing their stretch (headrests) This happens even in a weather-protected location! I would have thought, given the expense of the chairs that these materials would be more durable. They're also VERY expensive to replace!

Comments from the Staff: Thanks for the feedback. Lafuma is aware that this can happen, and has addressed the problems in its 2007 line and replacements . . . so hopefully these problems will not persist. It doesn't happen all that often, but we hear you.

Lafuma RSX Headrest

Reviewer: Anonymous , Spokane, WA Date: July 31, 2006
The headrest is 3" shorter than the headrest that comes with the Lafuma. The strap stretches so tightly, it is likely to break after some use. There is a raw inside edge which is likely to unravel in the future. The color doesn't even match the color of the chair. They're both green, but different shades of green.

mixed results

3
Reviewer: Leah Marcus , River Forest, IL Date: July 28, 2006
The product is great, but ordering was a confused experience -- I wound up ordering additional accessories in order to qualify for free shipping, only to receive a headrest in an unexpected fabric. Shipping cost to return and re-order would have been disproportionate for the transaction, so I decided to keep the almost-right green mesh headrest instead of the densely woven headrest that would match the chair. I am well-satisfied with your design and quality of the LaFuma product, but not with the compromise dictated by shipping cost, nor by the fact that there was no retail outlet nearby.

Comments from The Staff:

Sorry for that experience. Clearly the interenet has its flaws, and seeing colors correctly on the screen is one of them. Glad you like the chair though.

RSX Headrest

3
Reviewer: Jean Sattler , Easton PA Date: July 28, 2006
The shape is quite comfortable, whether used as a headrest or a lumbar support. However, the elastic holding it onto the chair is very poor. It didn't hold up for even one season.
