Our Review of the Lafuma RSX XL recliner

The Lafuma RSX XL offers all of the features of the RSX model, but with more room.  The Lafuma RSX XL has a 4" taller back, 2" longer leg rest, and 2" taller seat, with an added 2" in seat width, making it ideal for people over 6 feet tall.  Along with this extra space, this zero gravity chair has ergonomically contoured armrests and a headrest allowing for even greater comfort.  The chair is also capable of folding up, allowing for easy storage and transport.

Lafuma's amazing Batyline® Fabric is extremely durable thanks to a polyester fiber covered by a coating of PVC, making your Lafuma mattress nearly impossible to tear. Batyline also keeps things green with environmentally friendly and Oeko-Tex certified material that is free from concentrations of harmful substances. Batyline demonstrates some amazing properties, including:

  • High resistance to rot, mildew, UV radiation, and fading.
  • Batyline withstands temperature extremes ranging from -22°F to 158°F.
  • Batyline's flexibility provides cushion-like comfort without cushions.
  • Resilient, Batyline stands up to use by the pool or salt water.
  • Thanks to a maximum 3% stretch, Batyline hardly sags. And it will regain its original shape when given a little time to rest out of the sun.

What's the difference between the RSX XL Recliner and the Lafuma Futura Clipper XL?

The Lafuma Futura Clipper XL Recliner uses Lafuma's clipper system in place of the RSX XL's traditional laces. The clipper system provides a firmer mattress feel and makes it easier to remove the mattress for cleaning. And if one clip breaks down, there is no need to replace the entire system – just replace one clip. The Futura Clipper XL and RSX XL Recliner feature two different types of frames: the Futura Clipper XL features a lacquered steel frame and the RSX XL Recliner features a tubular steel frame. General Cleaning and Care Instructions:
For all of the Lafuma Chairs and Recliner, simply rinse with soapy water or a mild laundry detergent.  Scrub gently.  A soft brush can also be used.  Rinse thoroughly and sun dry.  Repeat these steps as necessary. 

Batyline (Mesh) Notes:
Batyline should be cleaned regularly.  Due to the fabric?s mesh weave, the drying process is quick.

Padded Fabric Notes:
If the padded fabric gets extremely wet, let it sun dry until all of the water is gone.  Due to the padding, water can get trapped in the fabric.  Make sure to keep these chairs out of the rain whenever possible.

comfy but hard to exit

this is my second Lafuma RSX XL recliner, the first is still usable with replacement bungee and supertape, but the new one was bought on sale and has a tendency to throw all the way back to horizontal. not a major problem. the final grunt to get out of these chairs is difficult for folk like me with little upper body strength. again, not a major problem. there is no better chair, i've tried. get one and you'll understand, my complaints notwithstanding. enjoy pete saussy pawleys island sc

Great But Could Be Even Better

I bought the Lafuma since I had hurt my back recently. It is much more comfortable than any of my other chairs. But, I am 6'2" and I wish there was a pillow on the foot since my feet hit the bar.

Bungee lacing wears out

We own 2 of these recliners and they are very comfortable...but we have to change the bungee lacing out at least once a year. I weigh about 170lbs so I wouldn't think weight is an issue and the chairs are protected from the weather. LaFuma needs to correct this design flaw.

Yeah Baby!

I got my Lafuma RSX XL Recliner yesterday and I LOVE it. When you get in it, your feet are just weightless and your whole body instantly relaxes. My mom tried it, and she suffers from lots of neck pain. She said it helped relieve the pain even after she got up from sitting the recliner. It's almost as good as getting a massage, and heck, for the price of a massage, I can get a recliner that I can use everyday! I've had my eye on one of these beauties for a while, and I am so happy I treated myself. Now, if I could only get my boyfriend to stop sitting in it... Oh, and the Concierge Service at LafumaFurniture.com is amazing. They helped me pick out the perfect color.

Almost big enough

A nice chair. Have had two zero gravity recliners before. I picked this one because I could check it as oversize baggage and bring it to Costa Rica in the original shipping container. My only complaint is that the leg length could be 3" - 4" longer. I am 6'4" and it is just a little short. But, overall a good comfortable chair for the money.

I purchased 2 chairs for our RV. We love to tailgate at college football games. I ordered the chairs in our favorite team colors and had our name and team logo put on the pillow. It looked great and we had a lot of great complements on them. The are very comfortable for sitting around and watching football games on TV outside the RV. Looks great and very comfortable. Yes I have and will recommend these chairs to my friends. In fact, my friends have already made plans to purchase several for the fall when football season starts. War Eagle
