I love the RSX XL. I am 6'2" and currently weigh in just above 300 lbs, and the thing supports me well. To the previous review that said the chair can't tip as much as the non-XL version, this is clearly for a reason. As a design engineer it is very clear that they had to reduce the tilt a bit in order to make it save. At my height and weight, when I first sat in the chair I swayed a round and gave it a strong test. The thing is very stable, and for that I will surely give up some extra tilt capability.

Not Zero Gravity
Reviewer: David Meth , CT

I love Lafuma recliners, so I bought one more, the RSX XL. To my dismay, however, the foot rest does not go up 28", the height of my older LaFuma, but only 24". And the back does not go down as far. So LaFuma took an outstanding product, redesigned it and made it less comfortable, even though it is made very well. There is an old cliche: If ain't broke, don't fix it. This is true in the case of the new Lafuma recliners. What a shame.

Great for Neck & Back Injuries

I have herniated discs in my neck. Because I'm a side sleeper, I would toss and turn, waking up dozens of times a night trying to find a more comfortable position. The zero gravity chair has been a God-send - no more tossing and turning. I sleep in it all night and heartily recommend it. I bought the carry case and travel with this chair, too.

The Best

I purchased my chair over 2.5 yrs ago and it has been incredible! I am a reflexologist and use my chair more than most people would. It is transportated everyday, has been set up & taken down uncountable times & has had every type of human being placed in it. I have even had some VERY heavy clients (I'm sure larger than the stated size allowable) and my chair has stood up to everything. I have only changed the laces one time & that in itself was so easy. The only small issue I have is the locks do not always hold the seat up as needed. I have noticed if the client is all the way to the back of the chair, then it balances itself & the locks are not necessary. Due to the extensive use, I wanted to redo the cloth sections, however, the color I wanted was not available at this time of the year so I am ordering another chair. I highly recommend this product to anyone. My clients all love the chair and the way they feel as soon as they sit in it. Thank you for an incredible product.

Initial use of this style of chair was a bit awkward, but soon overcome and we both love our new chairs.

comfy but hard to exit

this is my second Lafuma RSX XL recliner, the first is still usable with replacement bungee and supertape, but the new one was bought on sale and has a tendency to throw all the way back to horizontal. not a major problem. the final grunt to get out of these chairs is difficult for folk like me with little upper body strength. again, not a major problem. there is no better chair, i've tried. get one and you'll understand, my complaints notwithstanding.
enjoy

I love my Lafuma RSX XL recliner. It's new so I can't comment on durability but it's extremely comfortable.

Great But Could Be Even Better
Reviewer: Scott W. , Bronx, NY

I bought the Lafuma since I had hurt my back recently. It is much more comfortable than any of my other chairs. But, I am 6'2" and I wish there was a pillow on the foot since my feet hit the bar.
